Virgin Media Shorts Competition closed

It's a bit too late to enter the competition, the submission deadline is long gone. So this blog post is no call for entries - that's quite obvious. Still, it makes sense to point your attention towards this interesting competition held by broadband company Virgin Media called "Virgin Media Shorts".

Online at the site is this year's Shortlist — 12 films that will be shown in 214 cinemas across the UK for a whole year.

One film maker will go on to win the Grand Prize and up to £30,000 in funding for their next film, with the UK Film Council and Virgin Media. The favourite film of registered users, respective Critics will be awarded the People's Choice.

There is also a special prize for the best film made on a mobile phone.
